No longer satisfied with just shooting "regular" flower photography, try these fresher shooting methods. So how do you photograph flowers? There are also some tips and tricks here.

1. Use light

Use direct light to create dramatic scenes with high contrast. For example, you can look for a bunch of flowers that are lit by direct light and shade the background so that the subject will appear against the dark background.

2. Focus on the details

Instead of shooting a full bouquet of flowers, get closer and focus on more detail. Such as petals, stamens, etc. Try shooting perpendicular to the frame, which can effectively emphasize repetitive structures.

3. Change the perspective

"Ordinary" flower photography is often shot from the oblique side of the flower surface to show the different postures of the petals. But you can also try shooting from other angles, such as front, side or below, for different styles of work.

For example, you can shoot from the side down, with the sky as the background. Because the sky is brighter than the flowers, the picture tends to be more high-key, and the light penetrates the petals, which can accentuate their texture and texture.

4. Use color to highlight the subject

In addition to shooting a single color of flowers, you can also use one color to highlight another color shooting method. Such a color combination is visually very eye-catching and can have a good sensory experience.

For example, you can put flowers of different colors in the foreground and background, and then open a large aperture to turn them into soft color blocks that are blurred, which will produce a very beautiful visual effect.

5. Shoot the wind

Wind can be tiresome when photographing flowers. Flowers in the wind will sway from time to time, preventing you from taking a clear picture.

Think of it another way, though, and you can slow down the shutter speed and shoot the flower swaying in the wind. It is another kind of beauty!
